The mission of the Department of Information Technology is to impart high quality under-graduate education and carry out leading-edge research in the discipline of Information Technology. Our aim is to educate the next generation of technical professionals in the skills and knowledge base necessary to create and manage the technology based enterprises that will provide future economic growth and an improved standard of living. To impart Quality education and provide conducive environment for technical learning to meet the corporate challenges.


Our vision of department is providing center of excellence in the field of Information Technology Education & Training. To create globally competitive IT professional enriched with knowledge and power of innovation and improving lives through learning.

Short Term Goals:

  • To provide advanced facilities of teaching and practical training to the students.
  • To shape highly skilled IT engineers who can develop solutions to handle real world issues for the betterment of nation.
  • To inculcate entrepreneurial talents and technology appreciation programs.
  • To develop technical manpower through interactive communication, training, short-term courses, seminars, group-discussions, mock-interviews, etc.
  • Provide students with an understanding of their professional and ethical responsibilities.

Long Term Goal:

  • Establishing centre of excellence for Information Technology department as per their relevant research areas.
  • Initiating process of establishing research centre in Information &technology domain.
  • Initiating a culture or movement that research & academics are complementary to each other. Both are needed for upgrading the standard of education in our country.

Programme Educational Objectives

Program Objective 1

To provide students with  Core Competence in science and engineering fundamentals and mathematics knowledge necessary to formulate, analyze and solve IT Problems or research.

Program Objective 2

To train students with good breadth of knowledge in core areas of Information Technology and its branches so he can analyze, design, and synthesize data and technical concepts to Develop products and give solutions for the real life problems.

ALITE Students Association

Department has a ALITE Committee. The Mission of committee is to prepare outstanding educators, scholars,  and researchers, and to advance the profession of education, as broadly defined, through research on the science and  art of teaching and learning, the application of clinical processes, the effective uses of technology, and the analysis  and development of leadership and educational policy.

ALITE is a student run organization, which aims at bringing the best in technology  and innovation to the students of ARMIET and various colleges of the city. We aim at nurturing the technical prowess of every individual with a variety of events ranging from Tech Battle to Code Swapping. From Circuit Tackle to Gaming Fest and various Workshops. So we invite every individual to join us in our initiative, as we aim to develop into aware and able engineers of the future.
