Profile:

Prof. Mayank Mangal received M.Tech Degree from Computer Science &Egineering Department with Software Engineering Specialization, NIT Rourkela and B.Tech degree from Rajasthan Technical University,Kota. He has authored many papers in International and National journals in the area of Parallelism, Data Mining, Image Processing, Android etc. Nowadays his main research interest is Image Processing, Parallelism&Artificial Intelligence.

The Department of Information Technology was founded in 2008. It offers bachelor degrees in Information Technology. All the academic programs are periodically reviewed and updated to incorporate the latest trends in information technology driven society.

We are proud of our strong academic programs, which are based on theoretical and practical knowledge and match well with the requirements and demands of the industry. We are committed to students by offering short term courses and pre placement training classes that foster critical and analytical thinking and build the necessary skills to succeed in the industry.

Sitting squarely in an Engineering Faculty, the Department of Information Technology is focused on devising innovative, correct solutions to hard problems, whilst ensuring that the solutions execute optimally with the aspiration to create patents. We regularly conduct entrepreneurship development programs which aim to train the engineering graduates in the essentials of conceiving, planning, initiating and launching an economic activity or an enterprise successfully.

To develop the society by delivering engineering knowledge and integrating skills by educating all stakeholders in the area of Information Technology.

MISSION

Short Term Goals:

  • To provide advanced facilities of teaching and practical training to the students.
  • To shape highly skilled IT engineers who can develop solutions to handle real world issues for the betterment of nation.
  • To inculcate entrepreneurial talents and technology appreciation programs.
  • To develop technical manpower through interactive communication, training, short-term courses, seminars, group-discussions, mock-interviews, etc.

Department has a ALITE Committee. The Mission of committee is to prepare outstanding educators, scholars,  and researchers, and to advance the profession of education, as broadly defined, through research on the science and  art of teaching and learning, the application of clinical processes, the effective uses of technology, and the analysis  and development of leadership and educational policy.

ALITE is a student run organization, which aims at bringing the best in technology  and innovation to the students of ARMIET and various colleges of the city. We aim at nurturing the technical prowess of every individual with a variety of events ranging from Tech Battle to Code Swapping. From Circuit Tackle to Gaming Fest and various Workshops. So we invite every individual to join us in our initiative, as we aim to develop into aware and able engineers of the future.
